Sorry for taking so long to post this it's a testament to the city of New York that after a month I am beginning to describe an outline of how it felt to be in one of the busiest and most unique cities in the world! So I will dive right in!
We did the Empire State all 86 floors, the view is pehenomenal so are the queuesa nd the guards telling you to go-go-go into the lifts. security is big ther i noticed. Ciaran Tracey was a wonderful patient guide and he really does have th savvy for the city even after being away for a few years. Brendan bought some great suits and a coat that you can see Murt modellling near 5th ave! Not too sure about the look with shorts tho Murt. But we were blessed with the weather when we left it poured. In Greenwich village we went all Boho with the music buying Frank Zappa nad Jeff Buckley its so cool there, the man in the shp had a cat that looked stuffed but it was just really well looked after and sat on the counter. It wasn't as cool as the man that had a cat sitting on his head though on a street corner. Gave a lot of money away to homeless, sometimes realising that they just went round the block to buy more booze. anyway this is new York in snippets! just a stream of consiousness. We wnet to the Nightclub-with-clothes that is Abercrombie and Fitch, or the land of models. When they are not folding clthes the blessed of cheekbone staff dance at the top of the stairs and ask "Hey guys, hows it goin?" And an Adonis like creature greets you at the door all six-packs chest and perfect teeth. thats my insecurities revealed. yeah i bought muscle tops there but for friends that have muscles! We had fantastic burgers and food to eat especially at the Shake shack. we saa a lot of sights! Special mention to Pat, Kate, Michell and Kelly Freed who entertained us with a great Barbeque over in New Jersey and Deirdre Danaher who is a real Lady, she made an effort to come and meet us in the Metro diner and made everyone who met her feel very welcome to America with her warmth. shes also a fan of the blog. Thanks Deirdre! Look out also for Michelle Freed singer songwriter who not only put on a kick ass barbeque with eher family for us but is also amazingly talented. I could go on all night Go raibh mhíle maith ag na daoine uilig a rinne and t-ám s'againn i Nua Ebhrac chomh speisialta. Will chat soon!!! xoxo
