Murt Collin's Grand Canaria expedition Solas 2010

Just back from Sunny Gran Canaria after a great trip there with the Solas team. Stationed in the lovely village of Pozo ( a windsurfers paradise) we explored both the populated and isolated regions of this beautiful Island. A party of ten travelled and from the start the bond, trust and goodwill was excellent. Personal highlights included reaching the peak of the islands highest mountain (6,950 feet) where we all san "molly malone" much to the amusement of the other tourists there, while the moving statue at Las Palmas also caused much laughter. With great food and no alcohol the order of the day, energy levels were always high for early morning starts. Indeed reaching the most remote areas of the Island on foot proved to be most popular on this most memorable of trips!
