Liam Emmery RIP
We lost one of our dearest members in Solas with the laying to rest of Liam Emery on the 13th of November last. It is a mark of the respect in which Liam was held that tributes have been paid to him by Letterkenny Gaels club, which he helped form, Coillte, Comhaltás ceoltoirí Éireann Letterkenny amongst others. Respected and important within the community it is only my regret as a blogger that I didn't know him better. AS a Solas member I had onl a glimpse into a truly lovely, truely Irish man. From the Solas Project we relay our great sadness to his family especially wife Norma and children Declan & Niamh. Ní fheicimíd a léitheid arís.

We met Liam when we visited Solas from the 1st to the 8th of November 2010, the week before he died. He was a lovely, gentle, Corkman who made a profound impression. We were all very saddened by the news of his death and send our deepest sympathy to his family and friends at Solas.
